Laptop Stand

I love to carry my laptop around and work in Cafes, but always tilting my head down brings a lot of stress and pain to my neck. So I've been using a laptop stand but it is so bulky and heavy. Therefore for this assignment I decided to build a Laptop Stand that is light, compact, and easy-to-assemble. Before this assignment I have no experience with Solidworks and Lasercutting so I guessed this would be good learning exercise.

Importing the .dxf file generated from Solidworks into CorelDraw. Then Laser Cutting.

The finished structure consists of 7 parts.

Trying to add patterns to the parts.

It took around 35 mins for the vector cutting for one side.

I experimented with different Power & Speed settings.

The best result for vector cutting came from the setting: Power: 45, Speed: 70, dpi: 150.
